Started by two friends, fed by a whole neighbourhood.
Acacia & Oak opened in a converted Queenslander on Latrobe Terrace in 2018. We were tired of cafes that charged $7 for an average flat white and called it specialty.
So we built one we'd actually go to. Coffee roasted weekly by Wolff & Sons in Newstead. Bread from Crust & Crumb in Bardon. Eggs from a farm in the Lockyer we visit twice a year. Everything plated by people we know by name.
It's small. We don't take bookings for parties bigger than six. The wait can be twenty minutes on a Saturday. We think it's worth it. So do most of our regulars.
